This saddens me to think of the loss of the extremely important and critical habitat for the piping plovers. These small shore birds are fighting against extinction and EVERY area they are in is important and should be protected. this beach is the most productive beach in Ontario!
Or wild areas require protection, not only for the animals, flora and fauna, but also for humans.
Allowing this land transfer to go through is destruction and a complete loss of habitat for the piping plover. Extinction is forever.
Please, help keep this as a protected area, so that at least the town implements a plan of conservation and protection.
These small shorebirds require our help.
