The Cormorant is a native bird. It was practically wiped out by the use of pesticides in the 50s and 60s. It has been scientifically proven that it is not reducing game fish stock. Yes breeding grounds have a negative impact on trees but this is not reason to destroy the population. Cormorants were here before us and deserve our protection not destruction.
