The Town of Wasaga Beach has an huge supply of land for building all along the south 14 km boarder and to the east and west. Thus there is no need to exploit beach area 1 with staggers town homes that the rich can only afford, and does not respect the natural environment. The big issue of transferring Beach area 1 and 2 to the town is that every 4 years council potentially could have new faces and a new agenda that could change the usage of beach front. At least the ministry can guarantee a certain standard that protects the environment.
Wasaga Beach is the crown jewel of our province…. And the only way to keep it as such is for the province to retain ownership
