Provincial parks are to be protected forever? Allowing development on this provincial park sets a president for future - will any provincial parks be safe? Provincial government pushes affordable housing and yet seems to fall short on delivery. I don't know of any 'affordable' waterfront properties. Developing this land only appeases the 1% that can afford waterfront real-estate, while provincial parks appeal to the masses. How would Developing the land increase tourism from its current state? The public travel to these parks, frequent restaurants, shop, explore the area, so how would Land development and the destruction of a provincial park increase tourism? Im tired of the 'smoke and mirtors' the provincial government puts up for 'the good of ontarians' all the while picking away at nature, stripping SARS protections, making a mockery of the importance of ecosystems, water, climate change all in the name of progress. Take a hard look, Bill 185, 23, 5 and now the potential development of our protected provincial parks. What will be left for future generations at this rate!?
