To transfer this land away from Ontario Parks:
A) sets a dangerous precedent for our beautiful Ontario Parks. Which one is next? What protected land will be given to the highest bidder for development?
B) puts Piping Plovers at risk. Plovers are a valuable part of the Great Lake Shoreline ecosystem and are at risk. Wasaga has been a main player in the story of the birds recovery, and this move could rip years of progress away.
C) put a valuable and rare habitat at risk. It might not seem like there will be impacts on humans, but we will see them, whether it be 5,10, or 20 years from now.
