With increasing need to preserve land in its natural state in order to protect species of flora & fauna, this parcel of land should not be sold but rather, kept as an undeveloped natural environment. This allows for local species & habitats, whether at-risk or not, to be preserved & protected short & long-term. This is particularly important in the face of climate change and economic pressures that may erode the already-fragile balance between the environment which sustains us all & the desire for growth/development. We must find better and more innovative ways to allow municipalities to meet their needs; selling off crown land cannot be part of the plan.
