I am a bird-lover who has enjoyed the sight of cormorants in my area for years. They are fascinating, prehistoric-looking birds and I can still remember the sense of wonder on discovering my first in 2006, a bird in breeding condition complete with "crests." I am shocked that such an aggressive hunting season is being proposed for the species--especially considering they are inedible! Cormorants are not invasive or harmful. They are a natural part of the ecosystem. They belong in Ontario.
Please reject this proposal.
