Just want to ask that when this committee meets to discuss the rock climbing amendments that you make considerations for one particular subgroup of rock climbers.
Ontario has very few climbing routes with a short approach and Devil’s Glenn is one of the few outdoor climbs that allows folks with a disability to participate in outdoor climbing.
If conservation the primary concern, I know firsthand that climbers are usually very conscientious about leaving no trace but if that hasn’t been the case then I would propose a campaign among the climbing community (we are actually pretty small and easy to reach) before any more drastic measures are taken.
Thanks for your consideration.
