I have been fishing the eastern shore of rivers going into Lake Superior for 40 years. Rivers such as The Wolf River, Jackpine River, Cypress River, and many more. The decline in the various species of sports fish has been very noticeable, especially rainbow, salmon and speckled trout. Pickerel have taken over many rivers and have increased exponentially. We are about to lose a great sport fishery and the dollars that go with it. Pickerel are a great sport fish and one of the best eating but they have invaded Black Bay to the detriment of other species. The catch and keep regulation in this area must be adjusted (increased).
