I am pleased to write in strong support of the Amendment to the Devil's Glen Provincial Park Management Plan, and in particular the introduction of the Climbing Management Plan.

As an avid rock climber in Simcoe County, this amendment represents an important step forward in increased recognition of this growing sport.

It is my hope that the Climbing Management Plan will provide increased oversight of climbing activities in Devil's Glen Provincial Park, especially as it relates to the tampering and vandalization of established climbing routes.

I hope the province continues to engage climbing stakeholders, including the Ontario Alliance of Climbers (OAC), throughout the development of the Climbing Management Plan to ensure alignment with current climbing practices and language.

I would like to thank the Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks for the Amendment to the Devil's Glen Provincial Park Management Plan. If passed, this plan will allow myself and other climbers throughout the province to safely access rock climbing for years to come.
