As an environmental scientist, I will comment against the amendment on the Act as it removes more than 100 species from the endangered list. The most important fact is that more and more scientific, especially conservation biology-based evidence indicates the urgency of protecting vital habitats for various species from reptiles to birds to large animals like wolves and bears. I think we should leave more gifts and nature beautify to future generations not to damage it as we are moving the society forward. I would like the ministry to reconsider the amendment and set up an example for other ministries and countries in terms of environmental conservation efforts. Thanks.
