This bill is being falsely presented as something that will help to improve the conservation of our plants and wildlife. When in actuality, it is Doug Ford's way of trying to get rid of any provincial action for species recovery or protection. The bill would make it so all regulations are discretionary, leaving lots of room for no regulations to be put in place at all. With the regulations being discretionary, it could lead to projects that would destroy the habitat of a endangered species being allowed to happen, potentially through bribery. The bill will do nothing to help protect our wildlife, only eliminate protections in favour of Doug Ford.
