I am not in favour of changes to the act re protection of species. It is my belief that loss of any species brings irreparable changes to the overall environment. We are not aware of all the interactions of creatures with their environment. As an example we are finding new information of the continued growth of pine trees in mountainous areas due to the seeds that are dropped or buried by the birds that feed on the cones. There are several other animal species that are affected when the trees disappear.
