I oppose putting economic growth ahead of species protection. It’s vital that we protect our environment and act with long term care for habitats. Protect evidence based conservation and scientific research.
Don’t narrow the definition of habitat. We’ve already done immense damage to our world and environment. Narrowing the definition alllows further encroachment and destruction. Recovery depends on future restoration zones.
Bring back mandatory recovery plans. Species need long term solutions. Reinstate the advisory committee. Silence is not protection or democracy. Reverse the exclusion of aquatic species and migratory birds. They deserve protection too. These ecosystems are all connected. To affect one population affects them all.
Transparency is not negotiable and not specific to a political party. It should occur in all leadership environments. Remove the exemption for permits from public comments.
Lastly. These changes add up year by year and although we don’t notice it immediately these damaging policies destroy habitats and our environment in a death by many cuts. We want to recognize our world and preserve it.
