Cormorants are the greatest gift to our lakes feeding on alien species. They also provide cities with dead trees which are more natural than cleaning up all dead wood . People complain they are killing trees. Have these people every been in a natural area where dead trees are piled high on the ground. Cormorants are a native species that has made a come back because of the food supply and have not been poisoned.
This was tried years ago and caused great suffering as many birds were wounded. It did not affect the population at all. It is just a stupid idea Powley
