The actions should include the following:
- That the MTO be mandated with the development of a provincial wide cycling network that may include designating provincial or municipal roadways and implementing infrastructure improvements along those routes.
-MTO must revise highway design guidelines for such infrastructure as freeway interchanges, to ensure road design elements such as ramp terminals are built in such a way that they will not become barriers to cycling.
-Revising the legislation and design guidelines for Pedestrian Crossovers to allow bicycles to cross as well where designated.
The plan should prioritize protected cycling infrastructure such as raised cycle tracks. Where possible such infrastructure can be implemented by re-purposing existing infrastructure such as paved boulevards.
