There needs to be more or better reasearch into this proposal. According to leading experts and researchers the diet of double-crested cormorants consists primarily of invasive and non native fish species. So if cormorants are mainly eating fish that compete with native fish for resources how is that a good thing to kill them? It is important to consider the wider impact on drastically reducing the cormorant population. Consider also the effect of shot gun shells in our waters and so many rotting cormorant carcasses everywhere.
