As a regular cyclist I am disappointed in this proposal. This will very much restrict the building of bicycle lanes, which is the only safe way to ride a bike in urban centres. The notion that the creation of bicycle lanes by reducing car lanes will increase pollution doesn’t make sense to me — increasing a cycling culture will reduce pollution if more people are able to feel safe riding a bike.
