This legislation will effectively end the creation of any new bike lanes on surface roads within the province. In urban centers like London, Toronto, Kingston and Ottawa there is little to zero available space to create additional roads or off-road lanes to support bike lanes.

This legislation will only support the status quo and not meet the stated objective of creating more capacity on roads for vehicles and drivers either. That objective can only be achieved by adding more supports for space-efficient transportation options like public transportation, cycling and other mobility devices.
