I am not against bike lanes per se. But they have to make sense, and be used. For example, the bike lanes downtown on Richmond Street are well designed and well used and a bright spot for bike lanes in Toronto. On the other hand, the bikes lanes on Bloor Street west of Jane are an utter disaster. They are poorly designed, cause traffic chaos and are never used, even on the best weather days. They need to be removed and clearly oversight on placement of bike lanes is needed.
