Please please please consider giving authority back to the municipalities on issues that are local. If a city decides to remove car lanes for bike lanes in vetted proper process, it needs to be allowed for those residents.
Toronto in particular will not have it's congestion issues solved by keeping the status quo in urban car lanes. The population continues to grow, and there is no room for more cars. Bikes and safe bike lanes offer a space efficient and cost efficient way for more people to get around the city.
Continue to invest in GO Rail and new tranist lines to get people from suburbs into the city on transit. We do not have room to expand rodes in large cities.
