The environmental protection measures addressed in Schedule 10 are not "red tape." They are clear prohibitions designed to preserve a vital part of Ontario's natural heritage, as well as our capacity to farm some of the best agricultural land in the world. They aren't hard to navigate: "no means no."
The Green Belt protections and the Great Lakes protections MUST be removed from Bill 66. They exist for a purpose, to serve all Ontarions.
The premier told us during the election that he would not open the Green Belt to development. He was elected on this promise and we expect him to keep it.
