This change in Legislation is misleading and poorly communicated. The proposal description listed here deliberately omits the actual impacts this proposal will have, using ambiguous phrasing. It says it will "require registration" without specifying what registration will entail or how liberally it will be allowed, among other vague language. This proposal attempts to appear neutral but limits protections for short-term, greedy interests. The terms of this bill should be made clear to the public with the specifics of registration and species. I have attached an educated breakdown of what this proposal will actually achieve: short-sighted weakening of environmental policy. I believe the government's job is to work to improve the province, and I will never support such a blatant regression and backpedalling of policy as a ham-fisted attempt to benefit the economy, which should be done more carefully.
