There is one proven way to reduce congestion: convincing more people to either stop driving or to drive less. Reductions in "traffic lanes" is one way to reduce the amount of driving. Providing safe spaces to bike is another proven method. But the method the Province is proposing is proven, again and again over many years, to fail at reducing congestion. In addition similarly zealous wars on bicycle lanes are proven to result in more injuries and deaths of cyclists, to the point the Province has felt the need to provide itself with legal indemnity when such injuries and deaths result from the Province's own actions.

The "Fighting Delays, Building Faster Act" is a wildly misguided proposal and should be withdrawn immediately.
