This bill suggesting that bikes are a cause of pollution is insulting to the intelligence of the people who live in this province and will have a very negative consequence on the congestion and the environment. This bill have dire consequences on the congestion in this city. It will negatively affect many people I work with in their daily commute. I work with people who use bikes, cars and transit (usually a combo of all, and I am speaking personally as well) as their means of navigating their daily commute and this bill will negatively impact all of them, not to mention the environment, and construction. If the person reading this truly still does this job to represent and help the people who voted for you, please reconsider. The complaints of congestion are real should be taken more seriously than this, and you owe it to your supporters and all the people of this province to do something responsible, not divisive and with dangerous impacts on your citizens, their health, their job. I think we all wish to see this province lead with creative solutions, and think of infrastructure beforehand. This is coming from a provincial government that we have seen prioritize condo development before infrastructure. We all see the impacts of what is happening to our environment all around us and what this government is prioritizing over our needs. Please represent your citizens with care, compassion, and respect. We are tired of this artificial war you are waging between commuters. Please consider the negative impact on the environment that is vital for our health. Please consider the cyclist deaths that will occur when people are forced into the middle of the road while people still have to commute, or people are still ordering delivery, not to mention the construction congestion when you go around ripping up existing bike lanes.
