This is ridiculous overreach. Can cities and municipalities not plan their own roads? The hatred against cyclists is one thing, but now the government is also against buses and public transit? There are many reason why transit lanes might need to be converted, and the reasons could differ substantially in different areas - but creating a law to not allow it is a sign of ridiculous overreach. Let cities and municipalities determine what makes sense for their own space.
