Hi, I’m writing to express my opposition with the removal of over 100 species from the Endangered Species Act in Ontario. Nature and wildlife are essential to every aspect of life in Ontario, from the boreal forests up north, to the waters of Lake Ontario, to executive boardrooms in downtown Toronto, to Yorkdale Mall, to the Distillery District, every single one of these share this in common- none can exist without a healthy and thriving ecosystem. When we fail to protect species from extinction, our ecosystems become fragile. Our natural world provides the clean air we breathe, the natural resources that help us build us amazing products, and the food we depend on for survival. It is our responsibility to ensure that our children will also have healthy ecosystems that provide the same luxuries that we have been afforded. Please, do not remove these species from the Endangered Species List. Our future, our economy, our natural world depends on it.
