I have read your notice and I was lead to understand that you are removing protections for 35 birds from the law. I live in a rural community in Grey County. I strongly disagree that you should remove any birds without disclosures of studies explaining the impact in our community and others in Ontario. This law was based on the treaty with the US and there needs to also be a study to determine if this violates international treaties or treaties with First Nations communities which you don’t cite here any information about your need to consult. This was written on Oct 31 for the public to respond by Nov 10. It is simply not enough time to consider the impacts in an area that relies on tourism and the beauty of the natural world. I also need to object to this process under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act. The government is supposed to provide accessibility for plans and reports and this includes consultation. This isn’t accessible and neither is the process. You haven’t shown anyway of knowing for those with processing issues such as myself what is being changed in a way that can be easily understood. Why not divulge this or run in-person consultation and invite Ontarians who experience processing issues or provide enough time to got through all the information you have provided. This is kind of trick scammers use to prey upon vulnerable people. Where are your studies to show the impacts of these changes to these laws.
