There is no reason to de-list these species other than avoidance of accountability for developers. Developers and industry should be held to the highest possible standards as for-profit operations, not handled with kid gloves and given permission to destroy and avoid innovation. Business can and should be better than this, but instead, they are short-sighted and uninterested in societal good.
There is clearly no understanding of why these species are listed in the first place or desire to understand in this government. We will never solve the productivity crisis by letting business cop out of their reslonsibilities to society and the environment. Do better.
