I’m deeply concerned about this bill and what it means for Ontario’s biodiversity and future generations. Weakening protections for endangered species is short-sighted and irresponsible. These laws exist to prevent irreversible harm. Once a species is gone, it’s gone forever.
We need leadership that values science, environmental responsibility, and the natural heritage that makes Ontario unique. I urge the government to listen to conservation experts, Indigenous communities, and the people of Ontario who want stronger (not weaker) protection for our wildlife and ecosystems.
