I am a real estate developer.
I appreciate all Doug has done to make development easier, however he should NOT replace the endangered species act.
We have precious little time to protect our environment and the species in them.
Yes it creates greater complexity.
But just like having children your life gets more expensive and inconvenient because you have to feed and care for them, so too do we need to care for our environment, even if it is “inconvenient “ to do so.
This new proposal is like saying we don’t need to feed and care for our kids because it costs more money or is inconvenient.
This new proposed change is misguided and greedy.
Yes we need to develop, but not at the cost of damaging our precious natural resources.
