According to the World Wildlife Fund, the amount of wildlife has decreased by approximately 73% over the last 50 years. That's terrifying especially when science has taught us that biodiversity is the key to maintaining stability and life on our planet. I understand that the government is trying to build up the economy, but it should NEVER be at the cost of the environment or the protections put in place to preserve natural habitats. Please use science-based research when making these decisions and consider all life that will be affected by these changes, including all the animals and plants whose protections are being lessened or removed if this replaces the legislation currently in place.
