The richness of our biodiversity makes Ontario a beautiful and valuable place to live. The regulatory amendments must prioritize visibility of the companies that seek to kill endangered species (via registration) and limit permit issuance by setting a limit on permits for each species per year or month, as advised by accredited environmental scientists and/or conservation biologists. The companies should make efforts to collaborate with environmental groups to relocate at-risk individuals to suitable environments wherever possible. If this is done, the permit can be made cheaper or issued faster.
