strongly oppose the proposed legislative and regulatory amendments that would allow the federal government to unilaterally determine which species are classified as endangered. This undermines science based decision making and opens the door for political or industrial interference in matters of ecological survival. The government is not a neutral arbiter in this context: it is a stakeholder, often with conflicting economic interests. Allowing it to bypass independent assessments and remove 106 species from protection is an act of environmental sabotage. We need transparency, peer-reviewed data, and conservation integrity, not centralized control that prioritizes development over biodiversity.
