This bill threatens our environment and our people. We do not have to sacrifice green space for economic growth nor should we. There are numerous policies in place to protect these areas from further environmental degradation and to protect people from the impacts of environmental loss. If we 'open ourselves up for business' we will ignore many of our checks and balances that protect our drinking water, our agricultural land, and the air we and our children breathe. Ontario is capable of far more environmentally-friendly and sustainable economic growth--this bill does not represent that.
