I drive and I bicycle around Toronto. As a driver, I much prefer when bikes are in bike lanes; bike lanes make it easier and faster to drive. As a cyclist, bike lanes keep me safe. They also keep my special needs son safe. My adult son has a cognitive disability. Cycling is one of the activities that he loves. Having access to bike lanes means he can do what he loves and be in his community safely. Streets should have space for everyone, not just cars.
