I completely agree with right sizing conservation authorities and reducing to 7 main offices. So often properties have to deal with 2 conservation authorities, the Niagara escarpment and tree belt and the city of Hamilton or Grimsby. The bureaucracy is insane and just over complicates issues. It is also very confusing for property owners and developers. The process needs to be more streamlined with one governing body per property. There are needs to be some common sense. Some of the properties in the flood zone are actually drought areas and have Low low risk of flooding but the agents base everything on a 1 % risk. Nothing is based on 1 % risk. If insurance companies consider it low risk it should be removed from flood risk area
