I am completely against Bill 66 Schedule 10 adding section 34.1 to the municipal planning act. This provides a path for municipalities to ignore the application of planning requirements and conditions as currently established in multiple environmental protection acts such as the Clean Water Act, Lake Simcoe Protection Act, etc. If the current Conservative government can't think of ways to grow business in Ontario and still apply the current environmental protection acts then they are showing themselves to be backward in their thinking and lacking in innovation and vision.
