I don't understand the need to create another government agency to take over water/wastewater when it is working well with the Region. It means creating a duplicate hierarchy, which is a duplication of services. The lower tiers are still contributing so why is it different than now? Will it duplicate purchasing, legal, employment resources, etc that is already established? How much money is being spent so that Mississauga can say that the water/wastewater is not under the Region? Totally irresponsible management of resources at a time when there is no extra money.
