This proposal is driven by ideology, not science or good public policy. Auto traffic needs to take a back seat to moving human beings, and transportation science has shown that it's not possible to move more people by adding lanes or prioritizing auto traffic. Local municipalities need the freedom to continue to put the human beings who live there first, rather than having an auto-first provincial rule making life worse for anyone not in a vehicle.
