I live in central Toronto and drive, cycle, TTC and walk. Have done so for 30+ years. In essence, streets have a physical limit to the number of vehicles that can be reasonably handled - and Toronto is far beyond that. As a result, TTC, walking and cycling are my preferred modes of transportation - these are always more reliable (and more environmentally friendly) than driving. In this context, Bill 60’s restrictions on cycling lanes will make a better option (than driving) more dangerous, and is a futile fight against limited physical street capacity. I am confident in one thing: Bill 60 is doomed to fail in its goal of improving car traffic.
