At this stage, we've all read the myriad studies showing that bike lanes do not increase traffic congestion or cause delays, that they improve road safety, that they reduce emissions and bring more customers to businesses - none of this is new or surprising. What *is* surprising is that no one is investigating why the provincial government is so keen to stop them from being built. Who's ultimately benefiting? It certainly isn't the fine citizens of any of the cities in Ontario, that's for sure.
