Merging the Lakehead Regional CA with CAs thousands of kilometers away is ridiculous. If a staff person had to attend a meeting in person, they would need to first take a two-hour flight to Toronto, then travel more than an hour by land. With waiting time, it would take a day to make the trip. It is another example of the provincial government failing to understand the realities of northern Ontario.
If you were really concerned about the Lake Superior watershed, you would establish a single authority across its watershed, including areas where there are not currently conservation authority services offered.
