Local conservation groups are invaluable to communities and our land. They know the people create connection and relationships with school kids all the way through seniors who walk the trails.
Replacing the local knowledge wirh a large group is a terrible idea.
Sometimes bigger is NOT better.
It is so helpful to have people who intimately know the areas, the trees, the land, the rivers, and who deeply care about it.
There is no way to possibly be able to have that knowledge and level of care if it is spread out and made to be that large of an area.
Also people live close to their work. They care about their communities. Having our conservation people live right here with us they know the weather patterns their kids go to school here.
Big conglomerations, big business, big pharma, big , big big...
Loses so much. Loses caring, loses intimate knowledge, Loses relationships, and loses TRUST.
Please, Do NOT roll all the precious, unique conservation areas into 7 big Ontario areas.
