I am very opposed to the concept of amalgamating conservation authorities. My late father was a member of the SCRCA board and, as such, I learned a great deal about the work of the Authorities. I do not believe the works of these Conservationists will be handled better through changed boundaries.
No different than municipal amalgamations of years past, costs will not decline but the levels of service will.
