Ontario is proposing changes to improve the conservation authority (CA) system to free up resources for front-line service delivery to help protect communities and better align the work of CAs with provincial priorities. This proposal seeks feedback on proposed boundaries and criteria for the regional consolidation of Ontario’s 36 CAs.
I disagree with having another layer of government overseeing regional organisations. If you are trying to improve things, have a consultative process and publish guidelines that CA's need to adhere to. Surely something like this already exists?
I also disagree with trying to consolidate multiple regional agencies into larger geographic entities where attention to local concerns will be lost in the name of the greater good.
Why doesn't the government try fixing the health care problems, and the promise of providing family physicians, instead of wading into an area that seems to be doing fine?
Health Care Connect? Yeah... that's working well. I've been on the list for four years.
