I am opposed to this potential change in management of conservation authorities. The management of our conservation areas should be left in the hands of the local boards who are aware of the sensitivity of the properties and have a local vested interest in its preservation. Permits for building on environmentally sensitive land should be exposed to a rigorous review process and the conservation authority management is ensuring that that happens
