The centralization and amalgamation of these existing, locally informed and controlled conservation authorities is a bad idea and will not result in the cost savings and efficiencies the Ontario Government hopes for. Indeed, it will have a negative impact on local communities' well-being and neuter our local democracies impact on these ecologically sensitive and important areas. Please leave them as they are, and they will continue to make improvement and operational efficiencies and effectiveness without the power grab from the Government of Ontario.
