As a citizen I am vehemently against this bill.
The areas are much too large, meaning less representation by fewer people (i.e. smaller areas lose their voice). Also, different areas have different geography and issues and needs and local experts will be not be able to be replaced by a few generalists as local experts are the most well equipped to manage their own areas. Additionally the new areas don't follow watershed boundaries and so make very little sense. It will cost a ridiculous amount of tax payer money. Lastly, amalgamation very very rarely ever goes well across any industry or government.
I do no support this bill whatsoever.
