Like all other proposals and legislation by this provincial government, amalgamation of the conservation authorities is ludicrous. The separate conservation authorities were not mandated to work under a small group. Each of these areas across this beautiful province are unique. Each region knows their area, what is needed and how to preserve what they do have. This government wants to please the contractors and shareholders. There is no thought or care to the future. So much of this province has been desecrated by over development. It is a disgrace. We need our wetlands to prevent flooding. We need trees to absorb carbon dioxide. Start listening to the experts and not the greedy developers. Stop this ridiculous merger!
